Peel (est. 2026) is an teahouse and project space founded by Clarice Du and Rongji Fang in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Statement
Peel emerged from a shared curiosity about the origins, migrations, and histories of the leaf as a diasporic subject. Through its menu, activations, and physical space, tea serves as both nourishment and grounds for experimental art and food praxis with and in diasporic, queer, and translocal contexts. Peel continues to develop projects and collaborations, expanding into broader investigations of foodways with likeminded artists, chefs, and researchers to exchange and broaden such perspectives.
Operations
Peel serves tea (and soon eats) Wednesday through Sunday on the 2nd floor of 5806 Forbes Ave, according to the hours below. Peel also periodically hosts projects, workshops, activations and gatherings, which can best be followed on Instagram.
If you are interested in hosting something at Peel, please feel free to reach out.
